Once again we can’t believe how lucky we’ve been this week with the weather and waves we’ve been getting here in Southwest France. We’ve been basking is 35 degree sunshine and have had some pumping waves. The best bit is the water temperature at thus time of year. At a beautiful 22 degrees its perfect to rock out the bikini ( thats if you don’t mind losing it in the shorey occasionally!)
So far the girls attending our camp have been doing really well. We’ve been surfing at Le Penon and sunset surfs at Vieux Boucau. We even took a little trip down to the beautiful Cote Basque for a few smaller waves whilst the surf pumped on the Hossegor Beach Breaks.
Things are getting quite exciting here at the Academy as Ashleigh and Katie prepare for a 10 day expedition to the Surf Affinity all girls surf camp that they will host in the Southwest of France next week. The second camp of the year for beginner and intermediate surfer girls, the week ahead is looking epic. With hot hot weather and great waves forecast once again for the region they’ll be plenty of girly surfing going on in the warm French Waters. We’ll be keeping you up to date with what we’ve been up to down there and remeber to keep in touch via our blog and facebook page to see what we’ve been up to.

We can’t believe how fast the summer has gone! With September just round the corner we are looking forward to some great autumn Swells. It’s the best time of the year for surfing in Cornwall - with quiet beaches, great waves and often beautiful weather.
If you’re thinking of taking a break this Autumn then there’s plenty of great things going down. Here’s a brief overview of what we’ve got to look forward to this autumn:
LONGBOARD COACHING WEEKEND: On the 4th and 5th September we’ll be running our ever popular Longboard Coaching Weekend! This great weekend is ideal for anyone riding a longboard and wanting to improve on any aspect of the sport. With technique analysis, surf fitness, surf forecasting, retro and modern style lessons to name but a few things we cover at the camp this is definately one weekend to look forward to!
The course runs over 2 days, between 9.30 - 430 each day and costs just £150 for the entire weekend. Classes are small and personal which allows you to get the very most out of our coaching sessions!

Join the girls from the O'Neill Surf Academy at Surf Affinity Girls Only Surf Camp this September
SURF AFFINITY GIRLS SURF CAMP - SOUTHWEST FRANCE:
After such a hugely successful camp in June, Ashleigh is heading back over to France for another great girls only surf camp week! This camp is where it’s at is your looking for some sunshine, warm water this Autumn. With daily coaching in some of Europe’s best waves this camp is ideal for beginners looking to learn and improve quickly, and also seasoned intermediates looking for improvement. Best of all its GIRLS ONLY. For the first time, Katie Hookings from the O’Neill Surf Academy will also be joining Ashleigh to assist. We’ll be running beginner sessions as well as coaching for ‘next level’ surfers looking to catch green waves, turn and perform basic manoeuvres.

This year we teamed up with the girls from Surf Affinity to test drive an all girls surf camp in the beautiful town of Le Penon in the South West of France. Joining us were 8 lovely ladies all keen to become true surf girls. The camp was a huge success and both ourselves and the girls had the most amazing week ever! France is a great destination for learner - advanced surfers and prior to our camps here there had been no other English speaking surf camp along the coast, especially one that’s just for the Ladies!
For girls, by girls, the Surf Affinity surf camp experience is not be matched. Held on the beautiful beaches of South-west France, we cater for newbies to hotshots, so everyone is welcome. With different week-long packages available, you can do as much or as little as you like!
Newbie INTRODUCTORY COURSES will run during June and September, when the lovely ladies from the O’Neill Surf Academy will be providing some expert surf instruction for those who haven’t already racked up much experience in the water. Helping you learn and improve, you’ll be surprised by how much progress you can make!
Our EXPLORER PACKAGE is ideal for anyone who has already had a couple of lessons but would like to improve by surfing in different spots. Our campsite near Seignosse and Hossegor is fully equipped to provide you with a comfortable stay, and has some of Europe’s best surf spots right on the door step. There’s plenty to do in the area, with restuarants, cafes and markets nearby. Hossegor is at the heart of European Surf Culture and there’s always concerts, competitions and other exciting things going on!
