What you’ve got to look forward to in the coming weeks….

With Easter out the way and the start of the summer season beginning to creep up on us there’s lots of exciting things happening here at Watergate Bay and beyond. We thought we should compile a little list of all the things we’re excited about so you can get excited too…….

21st and 22nd April: British Longboard Union Surf Contest – Woolacombe.

Ok, it’s not right on our doorstep but the very first longboarding contest in the competition calendar will be kicking off at this great little North Devon Surf Spot. We’ve got our fingers crossed for some good waves and great results. Ashleigh from the O’Neill Surf Academy will be there competing so pop along and cheer her on! Hopefully Vicki will be joining her there too. With a showcase of some of the UK and Europe’s very best Longboarders it makes for some great viewing! You can keep up to date with Ashleigh over the competition via her facebook and blog pages.

21/22 April 2012: BKSA Kitesurfing National Course Racing and Wavejam  - Watergate Bay

In an event that is all about speed, the country’s best kitesurfers will kick off the British Kitesurfing Association (BKSA) season, racing across a course that runs the width of the bay. It’s pretty impressive stuff and it looks on the forecast that the wind could just be perfect for it!
